Ellsworth Coat

The Ellsworth Coat is a fully lined classic 1960's-inspired double breasted overcoat. The coat features elegant topstitching down the front, around the notched collar, down the center back, at the yoke seams, and on the sides of the deep patch pockets. 

Side panels provide a comfortable and flattering fit with subtle curves. The set-in sleeves land at the wrist bone, and the coat hem extends to mid-thigh. The coat is designed with plenty of ease to wear over your favorite layer. Or choose to size it down for a closer fit. The choice is yours! 

The Ellsworth Coat is filled with classic details, but is easy enough for advanced beginner or intermediate sewers. And for advanced sewers, the coat provides a blank canvas for all kinds of hacks and upgrades. 

The coat is sized from 0–18 and all sizes are included in one envelope with an instruction booklet and printed tissue paper pattern.

This pattern's difficulty is rated at "three spools" which is perfect for an intermediate sewer! 

Suggested coat fabrics: cotton canvas, linen canvas, medium weight denim, barkcloth, fine walk corduroy, lightweight wool, woven brocade, woven jacquard. Suggested lining fabrics: acetate, bombers rayon, silk & cotton blend, polyester, silk.
