Anni is a quilt design that was inspired by modern art, particularly the work of Josef Albers and his "Homage to the Square" series of color explorations. The large scale blocks in the pattern are made using a modernized log cabin construction and provide a great opportunity to play with color combinations. Use solid colored cottons, as I did, or incorporate some prints into your own version. Anni creates a strong graphic design that is at once both modern and timeless and is suitable for both beginner and advanced quilters alike.
