Originally, Kutani ware started in 1655 in Kaga, Ishikawa prefecture. The pincushion material is made from Noto Futakoshi Chirimen, which has a unique texture, and each piece is threaded by hand with care, one-by-one to give it a beautiful texture. Chirimen textile started being made in Japan at the end of the 16th century, and is a fabric with a distinctive weave. Yoshidaya Yoshidaya feature is four colors of green, yellow, purple and blue.
