We are totally obsessed with statement sleeves these days, and really wanted to showcase a pattern with amazing sleeve cuffs, but with enough special details that it’s still gorgeous without cuffs.

The Dove Pattern by Megan Nielsen features a loose fit top with french darts, v neckline, curved hemline with beautiful facings, and three sleeve options. Version 1 is a blouse with elbow length sleeves. Version 2 is a blouse with flared sleeves. Version 3 is a blouse with bell sleeves.

Megan’s idea for this pattern is for there to be something for everyone. Want to go full on bohemian? Choose version 3 and rock out those sleeves. Want something a little different but still quite subtle? Choose version 2 and you’re set. Just looking for a pretty blouse you can wear anywhere? Choose version 1 and make the hemline, neckline and darts the focus!

This blouse also looks quite different based on your fabric choice. It can be a more casual weekend garment, or with the right fabric choice, it can be just perfect for work or going out for dinner.

This pattern is a great skill builder and since there are a lot of techniques covered in this class.
