Created with a garter stitch and using four colors of artisan printed organic cotton, this color-blocked piece is a go with anything accessory.
This is one of those easy, mindless projects that is lovely once finished. Using four colors of the Printed Organic Cotton from Blue Sky Fibers and simple garter stitch, this cowl lets the color in the yarn shine. The cotton is soft to wear and is a great project for a woman or man. The hardest part will be deciding which four colors to choose!
Cost: $90 for the three-week course. This course requires a supply kit which will need to be purchased at The French Seam as well. The approximate cost of the supply kit is $75

Melanie lives on a hobby farm where she divides her time between gardening and knitting. There are few plants that are below consideration for the farm. Perennials are favored since they only have to be planted once. Knitting is treated with similar gusto. She enjoys knitting a variety of garments and is currently in a shawl knitting phase. ?They never make my butt look big.? Brioche is a new passion but she feels she is still on the steep side of the learning curve. She has shared her craft in a sock knitting class with an intrepid group of knitters at her local library. No one cried so it was considered a success. She has practiced teaching knitting on several friends and they continue to associate with her. She is looking forward to introducing more people to the amazing world of knitting.
