Clothing really changed since the late 1800's when the zipper became an alternative closure to pins, hooks, and buttons. Today we see zippers as more than closures, but also as a means of decorating our clothing. There is a zipper for almost every purpose, be it for sportswear or for a delicate evening gown. In our class, you'll learn how to insert a zipper for a center application, a lapped application, and an invisible zipper. You will also learn how to "key" a zipper, shorten a zipper, and how to make your invisible zipper "match" the color of your garment.
