Are you now at the point in your sewing that you are envisioning your own designs?  Now that you can successfully read and follow a pattern it's time to take it to the next level and create your own patterns.

You will be measured and fitted for a professionally drafted sloper that you will use throughout the course and in future classes.  A sloper is a basic pattern that is used to create more detailed patterns.  If you can imagine it you can make it from a sloper. 

In Modern Pattern Drafting you will first learn to compare your sloper to a commercial pattern to improve your fit with any brand of pattern. 

We will then begin creating your own patterns that are custom fit to your size using your sloper.  We'll practice fitting through the use of a muslin test garment, we'll discuss dart manipulation and creating style lines.  By the end of your class you'll have a solid foundation on which to begin creating your own wardrobe of custom made patterns!
